A Call for Teenagers to Live Wise and Strong in Christ

I write to challenge teenagers to “live as people who are free” (1 Peter 2:16). Be wise and strong and free from the slavery of culture-conformity. To put it another way, I am calling teenagers to a radical, wartime lifestyle. The Creation of “Teenagers” As teenagers, you should know that the idea of “teenagers” was…

Unthinkable Act by the Messiah

Unthinkable Act by the Messiah Are you Willing to be Cleansed? GARBO – Sunday of the Leper (St. Luke 5: 12-16) The word “leprosy” is taken from the Greek word (λέπρα – lépra), which comes from a root describing a scale or an incrustation. Resolve with our Friends and Families

Resolve with our Friends and Families The Great Lent is liturgically announced and inaugurated at the Vespers of Forgiveness. We hear the words of Christ: “If you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses…” (St. Mark…

Rooms in my Father’s House

Rooms in my Father’s House Sunday of All Faithful Departed Most Christians who have departed from this life were neither martyrs nor confessors. My Need for Spiritual Oxygen

I do not know about you, but I can always benefit from a strengthening of my belief. Sometimes I get so busy – so caught up in my stuff that I neglect to plug into the spiritual oxygen that I need. And in confusion of oxygen deprivation I wander away from the source of life itself. Rather than coming to Christ I turn to other sources to find affirmation and security and fulfillment – which is about as healthy and life giving as wandering around Mt. Everest in a blizzard. The truth is I need the Bread of Life. I need His satisfaction.

My assurance is in my God’s Promise Rev. Fr. Alexander J. Kurien There is hardly anyone who has not at some time been pushed to the rugged edges of life. There have been times that all of us felt that a cloud of despair had come to blot out the joyous glitter of a distant…
